REMINGTON MODEL 1100 TRAP-T (WEIGHTED) IN 12 GAUGE CALIBER, SINGLE BEAD VENT RIB BARREL WITH SHINY BORE AND FIXED TRAP CHOKE, WOOD VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT, 14¼” L.O.P., SOME FRECKLING ON THE RECEIVER, 93%+ OVERALL CONDITION, OUR STOCK # D706. Date of Manufacture for Remington 1100 Serial # N566363V thanks. Trap Shooting Forums. Unfortunately the serial number tells you nothing. Remington uses date.
This serial number decoder will translate this information, determining the exact month and year that your specific firearms was created. Remington 700, 870 or 1100 serial/barrel number lookup will work with Remington 700, 870 or any other Remington shotgun or rifle. It will show you date of manufacture of your firearm. It is very easy to use. Doing a little research on the serial number, it appears to be somewhere in the 1964 to 1970 range. (1100 20 gauges came out in 1964, and in the early 1970's Remington started adding a letter prefix to the serial numbers. This one doesn't have the letter prefix, hence my 64 to 70 guestimate.).

Using barrel codes (such as those listed above) to date the manufacture are reliable on Remington rifles, as the company rarely changed barrels on a customer’s rifle.
Using these barrel codes to date a shotgun is somewhat unreliable, as shotgun barrels are often interchanged at random. One needs to be sure that the barrel is original to the gun before trusting the Barrel Code listing, above.
